How is it the middle of October already? We had a super summer looking after your pets, and met so many wonderful animals and their owners. I feel privileged to be able to do this as my job, and can’t wait until October half term and the Christmas holidays when the hotel fills up again. I haven’t been idle the last month or so though! We have still had guests in, but the work has not been as intense as during the school holidays, so I have been able to make the most of my time and have started making small animal toys and treat parcels. I create bundles for furry guests staying at the hotel (for a small fee), but as Christmas rapidly approaches, I will be adding these (and more) to my website. I have been making gnaw toys such as garlands, Christmas trees, wreaths and Brussels sprout mobiles, and creating small pick ‘n’ mix treat boxes for your small pets. I’ve also created selection boxes and gift boxes, all based on natural treats and toys. All handmade toys are made using differing combinations of wicker, rattan, vine, willow, raffia, jute string, cardboard and paper- all totally safe for your animals to chew on, and the treats include things such as dried flowers and fruit, and Rosewood nibble treats.
We are trying to be as eco-friendly as possible so wherever plastic is needed, we use biodegradable eco-cellophane and cellulose bags, and all of our packaging is recyclable or recycled so expect an old shoe box or a box from a well known online retailer. Postage is a standard £3.99 sent using Royal Mail second class small parcel post. All of our items are pretty light, so you can fill quite a big box before you hit the 2kg mark. If your order looks like it will tip the scales, we will let you know. We also offer free collection from our home in Whittle le Woods, near Chorley in Lancashire.
To maintain freshness, items containing food will be pre-orderable, to be sent the last week of November ready to decorate your pet’s cage in advent, but if you’d rather have your items now (to be consumed in the next month), just leave me a note at checkout. If your order only contains non-edible items, it will be sent within 3 working days.
